John H. Piccin was born in Willimantic, Connecticut on January 27, 1940. He attended the University of Vienna in Vienna, Austria and graduated from Villanova University with honors in 1962. He then received a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Michigan Law School in 1965. He was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1966, to the Florida Bar in 1975 and to the US District Court, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida. He was chairman of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Fifth Judicial Circuit, State of Florida, chairman of the Marion County Bar Association Bench and Bar Committee, and President of the North Florida Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is also certified as member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Membership is limited to trial lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional skill, experience and excellence for achieving verdicts or settlements of $1 million or more.
